Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Construction (Decarbonisation Project)Location: Gatwick AirportSalary: Competitive + BenefitsContract Type: Permanent - work until beyond 2030.We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Construction) to lead a major decarbonisation project at Gatwick Airport, involving the demolition of an existing facility and the construction of a structure to house the new energy centre (£75 million), plus further works.This is a complex infrastructure project requiring strong construction experience and some civil engineering knowledge with a background in delivering large-scale construction works ideally in live or high-risk environments.Key Responsibilities: * Lead project delivery from demolition through to new facility construction. * Manage programme, budget, risk, and contractor performance. * Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants. * Report to senior leadership and maintain robust project governance.Requirements: * Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or similar, relevant qualification. * SMSTS and APM/Prince2 (or equivalent) qualification. * 10+ years’ construction project management experience. * Experience delivering complex construction projects. * Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and NEC/JCT contracts. * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Desirable: * Experience in airport, energy, or decarbonisation projects. * Chartered status (e.g. MCIOB, CEng, RICS).Apply now to be part of a transformative sustainability initiative at one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure hubs
