Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Construction (Decarbonisation Project)
Location: Gatwick Airport

Contract Type: Permanent - work until beyond 2030.
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Construction) to lead a major decarbonisation project at Gatwick Airport, involving the demolition of an existing facility and the construction of a structure to house the new energy centre (£75 million), plus further works.
This is a complex infrastructure project requiring strong construction experience and some civil engineering knowledge with a background in delivering large-scale construction works ideally in live or high-risk environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead project delivery from demolition through to new facility construction.
*
Manage programme, budget, risk, and contractor performance.
*
Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout.
*
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
*
Report to senior leadership and maintain robust project governance.
Requirements:

Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or similar, relevant qualification.
*
SMSTS and APM/Prince2 (or equivalent) qualification.
*
10+ years’ construction project management experience.
*
Experience delivering complex construction projects.
*
Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and NEC/JCT contracts.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:

Experience in airport, energy, or decarbonisation projects.
*
Chartered status (e.g. MCIOB, CEng, RICS).
