A leading construction management firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects in the Midlands area, ensuring effective delivery and compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in project management within the construction industry and will hold a relevant degree. This position includes occasional travel across the UK and requires security clearance.
Job Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of projects in the most cost-effective manner, demonstrating ‘value for money’ across Mitie's portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will identify and procure the services of specialist designers and contractors as required to successfully deliver their allocated projects. It will be the Project Manager's responsibility to manage compliance with Mitie and client-approved project delivery methodology, governance, and gateway approvals. Additionally, the Project Manager will take ownership of health and safety on projects, ensuring effective management through consultation and liaison with the Principal Designer and execution of Principal Contractor duties. They will also monitor and control all changes during a project’s lifecycle, in accordance with the relevant contract requirements.
The position is mainly mobile, covering the Midlands area, with occasional travel to sites across the UK. The successful candidate will need to undertake security BPSS clearance prior to starting and obtain Security Clearance (SC level and NPPV level 2).
