What's it all about?

Operating a successful business, a significant portion of work is based in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Typically, this contractor delivers a range of projects from GBP1m - GBP10m, including small earthwork projects, kerb realignments, and larger civils and infrastructure projects.

The Role

Reporting into the Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, programming, and delivering various highway projects up to GBP5M. You will take full ownership and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project in terms of cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, environment, and stakeholders.

Other duties include:

  • Understanding and working with company systems and processes and implementing effective information management systems.
  • Guiding decision-making to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Assessing risks and evaluating options for mitigation and control.
  • Building working relationships with clients, supply chain, and project staff.

What you need?

Ideally, you will be a No.1 Project Manager experienced in delivering civil engineering projects including:

  • Drainage
  • Section 278 Works
  • Groundworks
  • Paving

You should have your SMSTS certification and experience working for a subcontractor.
