What’s it all about?

Operating a successful business, a significant portion of the work is in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Typically, this contractor delivers a range of projects from £1m – £10m, including small earthwork projects, kerb realignments, through to larger civils and infrastructure projects.

The Role

Reporting into the Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, programming, and delivering various highway projects up to £5M. You will take full ownership and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project in terms of cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, environment, and stakeholders.

Other duties include:

• Understanding and working with company systems and processes, and implementing an effective information management system.
• Guiding decision-making to ensure project decisions are robust and meet project goals and objectives.
• Understanding risks and evaluating options for mitigation and control.
• Building working relationships with clients, supply chain, and project staff.

What you need?

Ideally, you will be a No.1 Project Manager experienced in delivering civil engineering projects that include:

• Drainage
• Section 278 Works
• Groundworks
• Paving

You’ll have your SMSTS and experience working for a sub-contractor.
