Project Manager – City of London – £75,000
Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Service Provider situated in the City of London. PRS is recruiting a Project Manager to lead a growing team, managing building services projects with a focus on sustainability. Projects include Retail, Managing agents, Residential sites across London, up to £2M. The ideal candidate would be mechanically biased, hardworking, with experience managing both small works and larger projects.
Key duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of M&E trades to ensure works are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Collaborate with the Major Projects Team and other departments.
- Assist in procuring competent M&E contractors for various projects.
- Manage project stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Supervise the performance of direct reports both formally and informally.
- Lead on project scoping and procurement, ensuring compliance with organisational and statutory requirements.
- Review plans and specifications from consultants.
- Attend design meetings with consultants and clients to review and plan works.
- Plan and schedule work from conception to completion.
- Coordinate and manage Mechanical and Electrical aspects of multiple projects.
- Engage with residents, Property Managers, & Management Surveyors to ensure proactive communication.
- Experience working with leaseholders and residents, including work scope agreement and leasehold consultation support.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and housing issues.
- Prepare design briefs, specifications, tender documents, and contracts.
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills in external meetings.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Undertake other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Manage the Mandatory Remedial Works (MRW) Process with the Client.
- Manage a small team.
- Degree in building services or related engineering discipline.
- Mechanical bias preferred.
- Experience in high-end residential premises is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in consultancy or main contractor roles is desirable.
- Experience with commissioning M&E equipment.
