Job Description:

Our client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager with Children's Services transformation project delivery experience on a 6-month contract. The Project Manager will have experience delivering Children’s homes capital programmes and Group Homes for Care Leavers projects.

This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).

Key Responsibilities for the Project Manager:
  • Manage and deliver projects that transform services and processes across the Children, Families & Lifelong Learning Directorate.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and aligned with transformation objectives.
  • Support the programme’s objectives in collaboration with the Programme Manager.
  • Manage resources effectively, including people, finances, and materials.
  • Track progress, meet milestones, and report to senior leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting delivery.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Key Experience for the Project Manager:
  • Experience delivering Children’s homes capital programmes and Group Homes projects.
  • Relevant project management qualification (Prince2, APM, MSP) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading multiple projects at this level.
  • Satisfactory DBS clearance; willingness to travel across the county for meetings.
