Project Manager - Central & Local Government

We are seeking proactive, self-motivated Project Managers for our expanding Central and Local Government team in our flagship London office.

Ideal candidates are problem solvers with a logical, structured approach to managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. Experience in technical inputs from design or contractor teams, and some contract administration knowledge, are advantageous.

We value team players who recognize their contribution to our business and client projects, and who work collaboratively to uphold high standards of delivery. Our projects are located in London, Cambridge, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Kent, and more in the pipeline.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Conduct background research, data collection, and benchmarking.
  2. Lead residential-led or mixed-use projects, especially during the enabling stage, including highways, utilities, remediation, public realm, bridges, utility diversions, or managing S106 or S278 obligations.
  3. Establish effective processes and systems for project use.
  4. Monitor and document project progress and performance indicators.
  5. Track and document changes.
  6. Prepare formal project reports and updates.
  7. Liaise with clients, contractors, and designers.
  8. Attend meetings and draft minutes.
Other Responsibilities
  • Prepare presentation materials for client pitches.
  • Input key data into Turner & Townsend's internal database.
Candidate Requirements
  • Full-time availability with flexible working and home working options.
  • Willingness to travel within London, Home Counties, and South East.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
  • Self-motivated and strategic thinker.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
  • Knowledge of CDM/site health and safety regulations.
  • Engineering background, preferably civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical.
  • Understanding of the development lifecycle.
  • On-site construction experience.
  • Experience in residential or mixed-use projects, especially at the enabling stage.
