Job summary

A regional healthcare trust seeks an experienced Project Manager for Cancer Services to drive the implementation of new pathways and ensure compliance with national standards. The role entails collaborating with various clinical teams, managing data, and developing evaluation metrics. Qualified candidates must have significant project management experience within the NHS and preferably hold a degree and a project management qualification. The position offers a salary range of £47,810 to £54,710 per annum.

Project Manager - Cancer Services

The Project Manager will work collaboratively with the Cancer Manager, Lead Cancer Nurse, Norfolk & Waveney Transformation Programme Manager and the Clinical teams to provide overall project management leadership to implement protocols to support the trust to meet the nationally mandated 28 day faster diagnosis standard

This will include engaging with all stakeholders in process mapping, planning and implementing new Cancer Pathways to ensure patients are diagnosed in a timely manner to meet the 28 day FDS standard.

Main duties of the job
  • The post-holder will work in collaboration with the Lead Cancer Nurse and Cancer Manager to ensure successful implementation of each area of work.
  • Provide Analytical data and reports to monitor progress against targets for the trust, ICB and regional cancer alliance
  • Develop evaluation metrics and arrange data collection to evidence the delivery of the objectives of the ICS Cancer Services Transformation plan.
  • Collate and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide evidence of outcomes, productivity and quality.
  • Utilise data to support business cases and reports as appropriate.
  • Support clinical teams in the development, tailoring and implementation of systems and processes.
  • The post-holder will be responsible for the development of the infrastructure work-stream and have relevant skills and knowledge to lead and develop IT solution that enable healthcare professionals to implement new work practices.
  • The post holder will maintain full project files and data complete records for all project work-streams.
  • Analyse complex data and evaluate individual areas of the project, present and work with stakeholders collaboratively to overcome barriers within the areas of work.
  • The post-holder will need to be capable of complex decision making and will be required to evaluate options throughout the project process
  • Develop and write performance reports, including analysis of data
