A leading energy company in Scotland is seeking a Delivery Project Manager for the Orkney 220kV Transmission Link. You will oversee onshore cables, ensuring compliance with regulations while managing costs and stakeholder relationships. Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

SSEN Transmission’s Offshore Delivery Team is actively seeking a Delivery Project Manager to join the Orkney 220kV Transmission Link, a strategically vital infrastructure project currently in its execution phase, with planned completion in 2028. This link will enable the connection of renewable energy generated on the islands to the GB electricity grid.
You will lead the Onshore Cables Package within our AC team, playing a pivotal role in delivering one of the most technically complex elements of the wider Orkney portfolio. The position demands strong experience in onshore cable delivery, ideally within HVAC and/or HVDC systems, and a solid understanding of CDM regulations and NEC contract frameworks.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project involving landfall coordination, underground cable installation, and subsea cable interface management. As SSEN Transmission continues to expand its offshore and onshore portfolio, this role offers excellent career development prospects within a forward-thinking organisation.
Onsite presence is expected during execution phases for 3 days every 2nd week, so a driving licence is required.
