Job description

UFORCE exists to make aggression unaffordable.
Founded in Ukraine and headquartered in London, UFORCE is a defence-technology company with operations across Europe, the United States and Asia.
UFORCE builds uncrewed vessels, ground robotics and aircraft, autonomy software, and the command-and-control layer that operates them together. Each platform is deployable on its own, and stronger as part of the system. Its product lines include the MAGURA family of uncrewed surface vessels, the NEMESIS family of strike platforms, the LIUT family of ground robotic platforms, and counter-UAS systems.

About the role

The Project Manager, Business Operations owns cross-functional work that does not yet have a natural owner. You will take problems that are undefined, unscoped, and unassigned and turn them into well-managed projects with a clear sponsor, an agreed outcome, and a documented close.

This is not a traditional project management role with a fixed portfolio. Your work will be allocated on a rolling basis by the VP of Business Operations based on the company’s most important emerging needs. You may document and implement an M&A process, build leadership reporting dashboards, introduce new business systems and processes, or coordinate a training program across multiple regions.

The common thread is ambiguity: you will bring structure, ownership, and momentum to important work that might otherwise stall between functions.

What you’ll do
  • Take ambiguous business problems and translate them into clearly scoped projects with defined outcomes, owners, milestones, and completion criteria.

  • Lead multiple concurrent cross-functional projects from initial definition through execution, handover, and documented close.

  • Establish alignment among stakeholders who may have different priorities and do not report to you.

  • Identify the right sponsor and contributors for each project and establish clear responsibilities before execution begins.

  • Build and document operational processes where no established approach currently exists.

  • Influence teams to adopt new processes, systems, or ways of working.

  • Own an agreed share of leadership and business reporting, producing concise, decision-ready updates without requiring follow-up.

  • Prioritize competing requests from senior stakeholders and communicate trade-offs clearly.

  • Surface risks, resolve blockers, and exercise sound judgment about what to handle independently and when to elevate.

  • Ensure completed projects transition to a named long-term owner with the documentation and processes required to sustain them.

  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate research, analysis, documentation, and day-to-day project delivery.

What we’re looking for
  • Demonstrated ability to take an undefined problem and create a practical, executable plan without waiting for a detailed brief.

  • Experience delivering cross-functional projects through stakeholders over whom you have no direct authority.

  • Strong judgment and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment where processes and governance are still being built.

  • Evidence of creating systems, processes, or operating practices that continued after your direct involvement ended.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and make clear trade-offs when demand exceeds capacity.

  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, including navigating disagreement and resistance constructively.

  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to produce concise, leadership-ready materials that require minimal revision.

  • Strong attention to accountability, including clear ownership, deadlines, success measures, and documented project closure.

  • Practical fluency with AI tools, including sound judgment about where their outputs can and cannot be trusted.

Nice to have
  • Previous experience in a PMO, business operations, program management, or management consulting environment.

  • Experience working directly with executives or senior external clients.

  • Experience using Notion or comparable project and knowledge-management platforms.

  • Experience documenting processes and authoring standard operating procedures.

  • Exposure to Ukraine or experience in defense, dual-use technology, regulated industries, or government-adjacent environments.

The nature of combat has changed.

Tomorrow’s battlefield success depends on autonomy, speed, and adaptability.

And UFORCE is ready.
