A leading consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager / Business Analyst to deliver enhancements in payments and funds movement for a Tier 1 Investment Bank. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office in Belfast and involves stakeholder management, risk analysis, and project documentation. Candidates must have 6-10 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking with strong analytical capabilities.
Location: Belfast (3 days per week onsite)
Rate: Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 12 months, rolling

Join a Tier 1 Investment Bank on a long-term project delivering critical enhancements to their payments and movement of funds infrastructure, focused on risk and control uplift. This is a hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst position supporting global operations initiatives as part of the bank's Markets Operations COO team.
Lead and support delivery of global payments / funds movement risk & control initiatives
Identify and analyse in-scope applications, control environments, and process gaps
Drive risk-based prioritisation and control enhancement workstreams
Conduct root cause analysis of operational risk events in payments
Capture business requirements from SMEs, focusing on large/anomalous payments control
Manage milestones, tasks, and project actions within tight deadlines
Liaise with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Risk functions
Prepare and deliver project documentation: agendas, minutes, updates, and dashboards
Escalate key project risks or blockers as appropriate
6-10 years' experience in a Business Analyst / Project Manager capacity
Strong background in Risk, Operations, or Control functions within Investment Banking
Deep understanding of Markets Operations and payments / funds movement workflows
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
High attention to detail, organisational discipline, and analytical capability
Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and process mapping tools
Ability to work independently and meet delivery commitments under pressure
SOX, MCA, or other regulatory/risk control framework experience
Familiarity with Operational Risk Events analysis and remediation
Experience in working within large, complex, cross-functional banking environments
This role requires relocation to Belfast and 3 days per week in the office.
