Role responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of on-street bus stop infrastructure projects, aligned with the Welsh Government Transport Strategy (Llwybr Newydd, 2021).
  • Proactively manage the bus stop infrastructure programme using robust project lifecycle methodologies; develop project plans, achieve milestones, and manage resources and supply chains to deliver safe, on-time, on-cost, and to-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure consistency of infrastructure and adherence to quality, safety, environmental, operational, brand standards and customer information provision across a network of more than 25,000 bus stops regionally and nationally (including 11,000 unmarked).
  • Manage the Bus Stop Infrastructure budget, liaising with the Finance Business Partner and escalating variances to keep costs within the approved budget.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure Local Authority or TfW-led bus stop projects are delivered to specification.
What we’re looking for
  • Demonstrable equivalent work experience or a relevant degree (e.g., business or change management).
  • Project management qualification, such as APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing infrastructure and/or technology improvement projects.
  • Welsh language: ability to speak/write Welsh is an advantage but not essential.
  • Commitment to Welsh language development is supported by TfW through online learning, classroom courses and related funding.
