Jobgether is partnering to identify a Project Manager BESS based in the United Kingdom to drive end-to-end delivery of Battery Energy Storage System projects across Europe. You will coordinate customers, EPCs, contractors, and internal teams from contract review through installation, testing, and handover.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
  • Typically 2–6 years of experience in project execution, site coordination, installation management, commissioning, or technical project delivery within the energy sector.
  • Practical experience with BESS, ESS, PV systems, power infrastructure, substations, electrical installations, or related energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation activities, testing, commissioning, and technical project execution.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working with contractors, EPC companies, or within site-based project environments.
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to align multiple internal and external parties.
  • Ability to supervise contractors, monitor execution, and drive progress toward project milestones.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in demanding project environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across different project phases.
  • Professional working proficiency in English at C1 level.
  • Additional European language skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake very frequent travel across Europe, including extended periods at customer and project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the execution of BESS projects across Europe, supporting activities from installation through testing, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.
  • Oversee on-site installation activities, ensuring work follows approved project plans, schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, technical issues, quality concerns, and deviations.
  • Serve as the primary technical coordination point during installation and commissioning activities.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, system layouts, and other technical documentation.
  • Verify that approved electrical designs and system requirements are correctly implemented on site.
  • Support technical troubleshooting and resolution of issues arising during installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Supervise installation contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical standards, quality expectations, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate customers, EPCs, contractors, Technical Service, Presales, factory, logistics, and other project stakeholders to maintain alignment.
  • Review project contracts and translate technical, commercial, delivery, testing, and handover requirements into actionable project activities.
  • Monitor contractual milestones and deliverables, including FAT, SAT, commissioning, acceptance, and handover requirements.
  • Support factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final project acceptance.
  • Ensure project documentation, site reports, observations, deviations, corrective actions, and handover materials are complete and properly maintained.
  • Coordinate with factory and logistics stakeholders to support compliant testing and shipment activities, including FAT validation before shipment.
  • Promote safe working practices and monitor compliance with applicable electrical, technical, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to improve future project execution and reduce rework or technical deviations.

As Project Manager BESS, you will support the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System projects across Europe, from contract review through installation, commissioning, testing, and handover.
