Job summary

Assystem in London, England, is seeking a Full time on-site Senior Project Manager to lead infrastructure and capital projects through the full lifecycle. You will ensure safety, efficiency and alignment with client expectations, coordinating scope, programme, cost, risk and change with multidisciplinary teams.

Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors, you will monitor performance, drive continuous improvement and support procurement and contract management

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified (Level 6) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Typically 5+ years' experience delivering infrastructure or capital projects.
  • Proven experience managing project scope, programme, cost, risk and change.
  • Strong understanding of project management governance, controls and delivery methodologies.
  • NEC3 and/or NEC4 ECC accreditation desirable and essential for water sector opportunities.
  • Experience administering NEC contracts, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
  • Strong stakeholder, client and supplier management capability.
  • Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent qualification (or working towards).
  • Water and environmental infrastructure experience desirable.
  • Experience in regulated infrastructure sectors (water, utilities, energy, aviation, rail, marine).
  • Experience using CEMAR is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills with potential to develop into a Senior Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the planning, delivery and successful completion of infrastructure projects from inception through to close-out.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, programmes, budgets, forecasts and performance reporting.
  • Managing project scope, risks, issues, change control processes and governance requirements.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and providing leadership throughout project delivery.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
  • Monitoring project performance and implementing corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Supporting procurement, commercial and contract management activities, including NEC contract administration where applicable.
  • Managing project handover activities, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities You'll support the successful delivery of infrastructure and capital projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you manage scope, programme, cost, risk, change, and stakeholder engagement to achieve successful project outcomes.
