Job summary

Assystem in the UK seeks a Project Manager to lead the design, delivery and commissioning of electrical infrastructure projects within a highly regulated environment. The role uses NEC4 contracts and requires strong stakeholder and contract management skills.

You will oversee budgets, schedules and risk with a multidisciplinary team, delivering complex outcomes. The position offers 1–2 days of remote work per week and requires SC clearance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' project management experience within consultancy and/or construction.
  • Proven delivery of electrical projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong NEC4 contract management experience.
  • Sound commercial and financial management skills.
  • Degree qualified and Chartered with a relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical projects through design, delivery and commissioning phases.
  • Deliver project objectives across scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clients and delivery partners.
  • Manage NEC4 contracts, monitoring supplier performance and resolving emerging issues.
  • Control project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Develop cash flow forecasts and oversee cost management processes.
  • Lead risk identification, assessment and mitigation activities.
  • Manage project change control and configuration management processes.
  • Support governance, assurance reviews and project gateway assessments.
  • Review project schedules, milestones and delivery plans to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Lead project teams in line with High Performing Team principles.

Job Description

This is a key role and will be responsible for delivering assigned packages of work using the NEC4 form of contract. The package of work is complex and will include electrical systems and interoperability with the site.

TASKS

Qualifications
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' project management experience within consultancy and/or construction.
  • Proven delivery of electrical projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong NEC4 contract management experience.
  • Sound commercial and financial management skills.
  • Degree qualified and Chartered with a relevant professional body.
Desirable
  • Experience within nuclear or other highly regulated environments.
  • Primavera P6 knowledge.
  • Experience using CEMAR or similar contract management systems.
  • SMSTS and Nuclear Awareness training.
