K10 Apprenticeships Limited is seeking a Trainee Project Manager for the Thames Water Shared Apprenticeship Scheme in East London. The role combines office-based work with site visits, and includes a compulsory industry rotation to build broad exposure across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
  • Level 4 Associate Project Management course is provided as part of the apprenticeship.
  • K10 will enrol you to the Level 4 Associate Project Management course and fund your qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, scheduling and coordinating project activities.
  • Support projects throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
  • Monitor project progress and report on performance, milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and records.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Assist with resource planning, budget monitoring and task allocation.
  • Identify and elevate project risks and issues where appropriate.
  • Support quality assurance, continuous improvement and lessons learned activities.

About The Role

The Thames Water Shared Apprenticeship Scheme are looking for a Project ManagementApprentice in the East Londonarea.

This apprenticeship is part of The Thames Water Shared Apprenticeship Scheme and is a programme sponsored by Thames Water to address the skills gaps within their supply chain. The scheme features a compulsory industry rotation to enable apprentices to get experience in different environments and boost the chances of further employment in the sector.

Job Description

A Trainee Project Manager works with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role develops skills in scheduling, risk management, communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement while gaining practical workplace experience. Duties typically include:

Hybrid Role - This role involves a combination of office-based work and visits to construction sites, including walking around active sites and travelling between locations. K10 Apprenticeships will consider reasonable adjustments where possible to support individuals in carrying out the essential duties of the role.

Typical Working Week

40 hours p/w with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00 inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.

Person Specification

  • Proactive approach, taking pride in their work and taking accountability for decisions.

  • Ability to quickly prioritise tasks and the initiative to dive head-first into problem solving
  • No two days are the same on the front line and not every day goes to plan, so you’ll need to be quick on your feet to respond!
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working with multiple teams
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information and effectively communicate this to different team members and audiences
  • Ability to visit different sites and training days
  • Curiosity to learn quickly in a reactive and dynamic working environment.

  • Able to understand and follow health and safety protocols

English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 / C or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.

Key Training/College Information

K10 will enrol you to the Level 4 Associate Project Management course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider.

The apprenticeship duration is 18 months with up to 6 months for your End Point Assessment (EPA).

To start this apprenticeship, you’ll need to be:

  • Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work status
  • Not enrolled on any other courses
  • 18+ due to site H&S rules
  • Have a full UK Driving Licence and full access to your own vehicle
