Position: Trainee Project Manager (Apprenticeship)

A Trainee Project Manager works closely with the project team and Senior PM to successfully deliver project outputs. They assist in scheduling, risk management, cost control, stakeholder management, and governance, among others. Strong technical and soft skills are crucial for success in this role. Duties typically include:

  1. Leadership
  2. Monitoring project progress
  3. Cost control
  4. Resource & task planning
  5. Quality assurance
  6. Risk & issue management
  7. Reporting

As part of the apprenticeship, all candidates will undertake the Association of Project Management Qualification (APMQ). The APM is the only chartered membership organisation for the project profession, recognized worldwide.

Typical Working Week

40 hours per week with start times typically between 07:00 & 08:00, including paid 8 hours at college.

Qualifications

English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 / C or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.

Training & Duration

Enrolment in Level 4 Associate Project Management course, funded through an accredited provider. Duration: 24 months.

  • Not enrolled in other courses
  • 18+ years old (site H&S rules)
