We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple accounting operations initiatives across the EMEA region. In this role, you will oversee projects ranging from process improvements and automation to system integrations and reporting enhancements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You will serve as the central point of contact for accounting projects, collaborating with finance, product, and engineering teams to implement scalable solutions. This position offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, strengthen internal controls, and deliver measurable business impact in a fast-paced, remote, and globally distributed environment.

Accountabilities
  • As Project Manager, Accounting, your main responsibilities include: Manage a portfolio of 20+ accounting and operations projects of varying sizes, ensuring timely progress and alignment with business priorities.
  • Design and implement scalable processes to reduce errors, close control gaps, and improve operational efficiency through automation, dashboards, and standardized workflows.
  • Partner with data, engineering, and product teams to deploy automated tools, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Country Finance Managers and Senior Finance Managers, to align on requirements and deliverables.
  • Oversee testing, validation, and implementation of new tools and processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain project trackers, document processes, and communicate progress, blockers, and timelines to leadership.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, balancing urgent fixes with long-term improvements.
  • Build and maintain automated reporting dashboards for global payroll costs and other accounting metrics.
  • Implement standardized processes for acquisition-related accounting activities and automated controls to prevent reconciliation errors.
  • Integrate accounting workflows with internal systems to streamline operations and reporting.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will combine accounting expertise with project management and technical acumen:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in process design, system implementation, and automation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset, capable of identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
  • Ability to translate complex accounting needs into scalable, tech-enabled solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a global, distributed team environment.
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and ERP/accounting automation systems.
