Job summary

Nexperia Manchester is expanding its project management team with two roles on a 2-year fixed-term contract. The positions focus on leading end-to-end delivery of multi-site Research, Study and NPI projects for a global semiconductor manufacturer.

You will define robust delivery plans, manage scope, schedule, resources, risks and costs, and communicate with stakeholders while balancing time and budget constraints. Hybrid work includes 3 days in the Stockport office.

Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • A proven track record of successful management and delivery of multiple concurrent high value projects (budgets exceeding $1M).
  • A strong understanding of risk management, change management, resource planning and budget management including CAPEX and product cost control.
  • Experience of managing diverse, cross-functional project teams in a matrixed organisation.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end delivery of multi-site, Research, Study and NPI projects, ensuring the project delivers the expected outcomes.
  • Define and maintain robust project delivery plans that include scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, and costs, aligned to governance standards.
  • Manage changes, risks and issues to ensure delivery within the agreed boundaries of specification, quality, time and cost.

Job description

At Nexperia Manchester, we are expanding our team with the addition of 2 Project Managers initially on 2 year fixed term contracts. If the thought of managing multiple projects for a global semiconductor manufacturer producing over 100 billion devices every year excites you, then this could be the role for you.

What our Project Managers do

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager and with a clear progression path, this role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of multi-site, Research, Study and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring that the project delivers the expected outcomes.

Often managing multiple projects simultaneously, you will take ownership of project delivery, defining and maintaining robust project delivery plans that include scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, and associated costs, aligned to the agreed governance standards. In addition to this, you will manage all changes, risks and issues to ensure delivery within the agreed boundaries of specification, quality, time and cost.

We are looking for someone with commercial acumen and a strong delivery mindset, who can influence at all levels, build trusted relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and clearly communicate complex technical or business topics in a simple, structured way. You are comfortable working to tight deadlines, maintaining focus and momentum while balancing competing priorities.

Essential

  • A strong understanding of risk management, change management, resource planning and budget management including CAPEX and product cost control
