ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting to the Framework Operations Manager, the Project Manager will have the opportunity todevelop, implement andsupportacross the business a range ofprojectand businesssustainability strategies and winning future work.

Key responsibilities for theroleof Project Manager will include (but not exhaustive):

• Leading a team of internal colleagues and external specialist subcontractors
• Developing and delivering a portfolio of highway and structures projects within the Worcestershire county Council framework
• Ownership of entire project through to the end with full commitment and a relentless drive to succeed
• Managing site staff performance to achieve the project goals and productivity
• Providinghealth and safety leadership to the operational delivery teams and promotingbehavioural safety improvements
• Complyingwith all relevant HSE legislation
• Ensuringpolicies and procedures of the Business Management System are fully discharged
• Ensuringsufficient and competent resources are in place for the delivery of the project and project objectives are communicated
• Developing and maintaining programmes through the project life cycle and ensuringworks are delivered against the contract programme
• Leading the project risk management process and ensuringeffective controls are established to supportdelivery of the project
• Ensuringproject opportunities are identified and realised to maintain and improve the commercial project performance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience as a Project Manager within an operational environment who possesses the following skills/experience:

• HNC/HND
• NEC Contract management experience is hugely desirable

You’ll also have a high level of commercial acumen and be a confident and articulate communicator. As this is a leadershiplevel opportunity, your proven leadership skills will also need tobe demonstratedas will your extensive IT skills.
