Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for Project Managers to join a leading marine interiors fitout company.

Project Management Experience

Important

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing marine and interior outfit projects, from project setup to on-site coordination and project close down.

Suitable candidates must be willing to travel 25% of the year to various locations, including overseas, and must hold a valid passport.

Role Profile:

You will be responsible for overseeing various complex tasks related to the project management of marine and interior outfit projects. Collaboration with different teams is essential to ensure successful project delivery.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks or projects, following relevant sign-off procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate with stakeholders on resource and labor procurement, with approval from a Senior Project Manager.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients.
  • Participate in project meetings from initiation to completion.
  • Monitor and control project performance according to specifications, budget, and schedule.
  • Generate and present regular project and financial reports, identify variances, and propose improvements.
  • Review labor and resource levels on-site, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards on designated sites.
  • Manage small projects to ensure they meet client requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by your line manager or designee.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in IT systems.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
Minimum education and experience:

At least 3 years' experience in marine project management or marine refit, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience managing large teams of tradespersons is also required.
