Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the latter stages of a £12m education build near Poole in Dorset. You will take autonomous control as No1 on site, coordinating with two site managers to ensure timely handover early in the new year.

You will manage client liaison, supervise on-site works, drive short-term programming, monitor risk, safety, quality, and reporting to keep the project on specification, programme and budget, with a strong focus on delivery

About this Role:

Experienced Project Manager required to lead the latter stages of construction for a £12m new build education project near Poole in Dorset.

Reporting to the visiting Contracts Manager and working with two site managers, you will be responsible for ensuring the construction and internal fit out stages of the project are completed to achieve successful handover early in the new year.

The role will involve regular client liaison, and managing all works on site through your team, short-term programming of works, ensuring progress on programme, health and safety, quality control, identifying and mitigating any potential risks, identifying and resolving any issues, internal progress reporting, ensuring delivery of the scheme on specification, programme and budget.

You will lead your project as an autonomous No1 holding ultimate responsibility for the smooth and timely progress construction on site throughout.

About the Company:

This role is with the busy regional office of a South Coast based main contractor group, with a turnover in excess of £60m, and secured workload in the education, retirement home, commercial, industrial, and retail sectors in the Hampshire and Dorset areas.

Projects range in size from the smaller £5m up the £25m in value.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record within an established main contracting organisation, demonstrating the ability to deliver D&B schemes up to £10m. Key attributes will include excellent client, design team and site team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive.
