Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of highly complex programmes in the Bristol/South West region. The role requires two on-site days weekly with hybrid or remote options for the remainder, supporting clients and multidisciplinary teams across built environment projects.

You will manage policies, processes and business cases, ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes while upholding safety and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record delivering projects across complex programmes.
  • Ability to build and maintain key client relationships autonomously.
  • Experience identifying and delivering client requirements and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of P3M practices and suitable methodologies.
  • Related project management qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, and deliver in accordance with, organisational policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Support the development and assurance of business cases as part of wider approval processes.
  • Analyse, develop, support, and manage the timely and cost-effective delivery of client projects meeting business and environmental objectives.
  • Influence, support, and expedite client project delivery through effective planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of project performance.
  • Identify and effectively manage project assumptions and dependencies.
  • Support identification of slippage/risk and remedial or mitigating actions whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and management procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate services to the project are co-ordinated and delivered through technical, engineering, project controls, commercial and financial support functions.
  • Maintain project records, information, and history accurately and in line with policy.
  • Ensure learning from experience and apply continuous improvement techniques to project delivery.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic Project Managers with proven delivery experience to join our expanding team. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our clients to successfully deliver highly complex programmes across the built environment. The position is primarily based in Bristol and the surrounding South West area, with a requirement to be on-site at least two days per week, with the remainder of the week offering hybrid or remote working flexibility.

  • Able to operate autonomously in developing and maintaining key relationships.

  • Experience in identification and delivery of client requirements, and ability to scope wider business opportunities.

  • Experience in P3M practices, methodologies, and techniques and their appropriate application.

  • Related Project Management qualification.
