Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and closing of complex projects across international locations. You will lead the full lifecycle, define scope with executives, develop schedules and budgets, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.

The role requires 5–10 years in project management within heavy machinery or mining sectors, strong leadership and communication, and flexibility for travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of project management experience in heavy machinery, mining, or industrial sectors.
• PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with management and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage international project teams, including internal staff and external contractors.
• Communicate with stakeholders, providing clear updates and reports.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure adherence to PM methodologies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned.
• Manage project documentation for accuracy and completeness.

This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, meeting client expectations and company standards.Job ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.Manage international project teams, including internal staff and external contractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Communicate regularly with domestic and international stakeholders, providing clear and concise project updates, reports, and presentations.Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as necessary.Ensure adherence to FLSmidth's project management methodologies, quality standards, and safety regulations.Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices.Manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Process/Mechanical/Electrical) or related fieldMinimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the heavy machinery, mining, or industrial sectors.Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 certification is a plus).Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software is a plus (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment. Flexibility on working hours will be required at times to accommodate international communications.
