Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a new development from pre-construction stage through to successful completion. You will be involved in everything from initial planning and pre-commencement activities to overseeing build quality, budgets, programmes, and health and safety compliance on site, while leading the team to success.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development from pre-commencement, ensuring all pre-construction activities, site setup, and programming are completed.
  2. Manage and coordinate the construction process for the site.
  3. Work closely with technical and commercial teams to ensure smooth delivery against programme and budget.
  4. Ensure site compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  5. Build and maintain excellent relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.
  6. Monitor build progress and proactively resolve issues to keep the development on track, ensuring high quality is delivered.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager (or a strong Senior Site Manager ready to step up) within a PLC or large house builder environment.
  • Experience managing traditional build housing developments from pre-construction to handover.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications confidently.
  • Excellent understanding of NHBC standards.
  • Committed to delivering homes of the highest quality.
