Here at Signet, we’re looking for a dynamic, field-based Project Manager on a temporary basis

Temporary - 6 months

Signet Jewelers owns the UK Jewellery brands, H. Samuel and Ernest Jones. We have an exciting opportunity for an interim Project Manager to join our Store Development Team. As Project Manager, you’ll oversee the coordination of all project activities, managing all aspects of our H. Samuel and Ernest Jones stores, as well as Store Support Centre locations.

Reporting to the Head of Store Development, you'll collaborate with stakeholders including display, marketing, technology, the programme management team, and supply chain to deliver physical store and investment projects. Our initiatives aim to keep our stores at the forefront of jewellery retail design, ranging from new furniture pieces to full store fit-outs. Working with prestigious watch brands, you’ll design and implement in-store concepts.

This role is field-based; flexibility to cover retail stores across the UK and Store Support Centre locations in Birmingham and Croxley Park, Watford, is required.

About the role

1. Deliver, control, and complete designated Store and SSC projects within budget, schedule, and standards.
2. Prioritize fit-out activities and resources, conducting Scope, Pre-Start, Progress, Handover, and Completion meetings.
3. Assist Property Team by assessing risks related to Store acquisitions and recommending solutions.
4. Manage procurement and pricing with external contractors and suppliers.
5. Oversee external drafting companies producing surveys and drawings; manage the as-built photo library for quality.
6. Coordinate with approved inspectors to ensure value and service quality.

About you

• Experience in fast-paced, multi-site retail fit-outs, project, and programme management within retail environments.
• Proven supply chain management skills.
• Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and CDM 2015.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Local Authority Planning applications.
• Knowledge of Building Control requirements, including Part-M of the Building Regulations.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with a track record of effective project management.
