Base pay range

Project Manager (Business Change)

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week (minimum two days in the office)

Interview Date: 3 July 2025

Are you an experienced Project Manager ready to lead high-impact change? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, juggling complex projects, technical challenges, and people-focused transformation?

As a Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a portfolio of large-scale, complex, and technical projects and at times support transformational activity led by our Lead Business Change Project Manager.

Your role will focus on ensuring projects stay on track, on time, and within budget, while driving stakeholder engagement and delivering meaningful measurable outcomes. From high-level planning to day-to-day execution, your leadership will be vital to our success.

  • Creating and assisting in developing project plans, defining scope, identifying key assumptions and dependencies and breaking down objectives into manageable tasks and workstreams.
  • Developing and managing project schedules, prioritising and allocating project tasks, identifying and managing risks or issues and ensuring targeted benefits are defined and realised.
  • Identifying budget and personnel requirements, tracking costs, procuring resources and ensuring they are available when needed.
  • Communicating progress and exceptions effectively to a range of stakeholders, both verbally and written in a timely manner.
  • Applying strong critical thinking skills to identify areas for improvement, ensure solutions meet objectives and providing effective risk and issue mitigation.
  • Working cross functionally across technical and operational teams to achieve portfolio and project objectives.
  • Leading by example, championing a culture of continuous improvement, empowerment, and transformation at every level

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Project management qualification or certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2 or PMQ
  • Knowledge and experience of using project methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience delivering large scale, complex and/or technical projects including business change and readiness activity.
  • Proven experience in the same or similar role.
  • Significant experience in planning, including the management of schedules, dependencies, resources and financials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Structured and well organised, including assessment and production of all required project documentation.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including risk and issue management.
  • Strong leadership skills taking a collaborative approach to achieve outstanding and sustained results.
  • Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Experience working within the housing sector (desired).
