Job description

PROJECT MANAGER REQUIRED ON PERMANENT BASIS NATIONAL TRAVEL FOR A PRINCIPAL CONTRACTOR

I am assisting my client with an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a leading Principal contractor. The business undertakes projects in various sectors specializing in envelope cladding.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure safe completion, in accordance with the programme, specification, and budget.

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Package

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing and maintaining the highest standards of safety
2. Contributing to the value engineering and buildability of the project
3. Agreement of programmes and methods of construction with Planners and other appropriate production personnel
4. Marshalling of resources for the overall control and execution of the works including the selection of sub-contractors to carry out the works
5. Ensuring that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, overhead targets, etc., are established, monitored, and controlled
6. Managing multi-disciplinary teams
7. Cost Control
8. Establishing and maintaining commercial and financial control systems, procedures, and standards which will meet the contractual requirements of the projects

Experience and Qualifications:

1. You will ideally have experience of working within the Construction industry, specifically on Design and Build, with at least 5 years of experience with Envelope Cladding.
2. A proven track record of success in delivering projects as a Project Manager.
3. You will have experience of working for a main contractor as a Project Manager.
4. Good communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
5. Hold current CSCS, SMSTS, and first aid certification.
6. Present a clean and tidy site and have a good understanding of the considerate contractor's requirements to achieve a high score.
