About the role of Freelance Project Manager
We're working with a leading residential developer who is looking to appoint a Freelance Project Manager for a long-term position on a major South London development. The scheme comprises 750 units in total, and this role will focus on Phase 2, involving the delivery of 2 residential blocks, each at 13 storeys, with approximately 350 units combined.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a forward-thinking developer with a strong pipeline, taking full ownership of a key phase through build and into delivery.

Responsibilities for Freelance Project Manager
Lead site delivery for two high-rise residential blocks, ensuring programme, quality, and H&S targets are met.
Coordinate with internal development, commercial, design, and technical teams.
Manage subcontractors and site-based teams, driving performance and productivity.
Oversee health & safety compliance and ensure adherence to company standards.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Manage risk, resolve on-site challenges, and keep the project running to schedule.
Take full responsibility for project delivery through to completion and handover.

Requirements for Freelance Project Manager
Solid track record delivering large-scale residential schemes with developers or main contractors.
Experience managing high-rise projects (ideally 10+ storeys).
Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certification.
Proactive, hands-on approach and confident dealing with subcontractors and consultants.
Previous freelance experience with a developer is highly desirable.
