Position Overview:
This role involves collaborating across the organization to establish processes for Zones' pricing and solutioning for internal and external use. The Project Manager acts as the primary contact for customer inquiries, relaying issues to the appropriate PMO personnel. Responsibilities include processing and tracking orders, managing project reports, and providing customer support.
What you’ll do as theProject Manager:

- Manage daily operational activities for a portfolio of projects across various internal departments within infrastructure.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for successful project delivery in a matrix resource environment.
- Provide weekly status reports to the Director, PMO, including open tickets, issues, corrective actions, and project statuses.
- Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders through regular meetings. Deliver services based on contractual commitments.
- Ensure compliance with customer service level agreements (SLAs) to minimize liabilities and penalties.
- Oversee and coordinate equipment installation and technical team activities.
- Coordinate support from other departments, including maintenance technicians, field network engineers, and engineers.
- Lead small teams of skilled resources to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Recommend improvements to existing procedures and processes.
- Communicate effectively across operations groups and organize project data for field teams. Follow a defined project management methodology.
- Maintain PMO knowledge and support the timely development and delivery of IT solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of project management experience, or at least 4 years of hands-on project management experience as a substitute.
- Experience managing at least one interrelated departmental project.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with customers and build relationships.
- Operational and budget management skills across internal departments.
- Proficiency in PMI methods, including change, risk, and issues management.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage project scope changes.
- Experience with project budgets and resource planning, including detailed forecasting.
- Experience managing service level agreements with penalties.
- Practical knowledge of field-based project deliverables, technician utilization, ticket backlog, and workload balancing.
- Risk mitigation strategies and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PMO Dashboard.
- PMP certification preferred.
