Overview:
XCL are working on behalf of a specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-regarded and growing business delivering high-quality projects across the retail, commercial, residential, education, and hospitality sectors.
The ideal candidate will ideally have a background in bespoke joinery or fit-out, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects across the UK. This role offers career progression within a dynamic and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee multiple site-based projects nationwide
Track site progress and produce detailed reports
Prepare and manage RAMS (risk assessments and method statements)
Support the approval of manufacturing drawings by coordinating construction information
Lead internal and external project meetings
Manage subcontractors and ensure project deadlines are met
Collaborate closely with design teams to maintain accuracy and feasibility
Read and interpret architectural drawings, applying practical solutions
Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Microsoft tools
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager within bespoke joinery or interior fit-out (preferred)
Willingness and flexibility to travel for UK-wide site visits
Strong communication and client relationship management skills
Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
Experience carrying out site surveys for manufacturing purposes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
CSCS card and SMSTS qualification are essential
