Job description

Overview:
XCL are working on behalf of a specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-regarded and growing business delivering high-quality projects across the retail, commercial, residential, education, and hospitality sectors.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a background in bespoke joinery or fit-out, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects across the UK. This role offers career progression within a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee multiple site-based projects nationwide

• Track site progress and produce detailed reports

• Prepare and manage RAMS (risk assessments and method statements)

• Support the approval of manufacturing drawings by coordinating construction information

• Lead internal and external project meetings

• Manage subcontractors and ensure project deadlines are met

• Collaborate closely with design teams to maintain accuracy and feasibility

• Read and interpret architectural drawings, applying practical solutions

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Microsoft tools

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within bespoke joinery or interior fit-out (preferred)

• Willingness and flexibility to travel for UK-wide site visits

• Strong communication and client relationship management skills

• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure

• Experience carrying out site surveys for manufacturing purposes

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• CSCS card and SMSTS qualification are essential
