Job summary

Midas Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead event and technical productions across live, virtual and hybrid formats. You will coordinate crews, venues and suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and profitability while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires strong client-facing skills, budgeting experience and ability to travel across the UK. A driving licence is preferred for site visits and client meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event and project enquiries from brief to delivery.
  • Prepare quotations, work orders, purchase orders and project docs.
  • Coordinate equipment, crew, venues and suppliers for events.
  • Oversee technical production of live, virtual and hybrid events.
  • Build relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and margins for profitability.
  • Oversee loading/unloading and return of equipment.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, quality and procedures are followed on-site.

Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Manage event and project enquiries from initial brief through to delivery, providing ideas and solutions that meet client requirements and budgets.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, work orders, purchase orders and all relevant project documentation.
  • Coordinate equipment, crew, venues and external suppliers, ensuring all resources are in place for successful event delivery.
  • Manage the technical production of live, virtual and hybrid events, including set-up, operation and on-site technical support.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams, providing a responsive and professional service throughout.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and margins, ensuring events are delivered efficiently and profitably.
  • Oversee the loading, unloading and return of equipment, supporting warehouse operations and ensuring all equipment and paperwork are accounted for.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, quality and company procedures are followed both on-site and internally, including completing relevant H&S documentation and crew inductions.
Project Manager Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience within Audio Visual, live events, event production or a similar technical environment.
  • Experience managing events or projects from initial client brief through to delivery.
  • Good working knowledge of AV equipment and technical event production.
  • Confident providing on-site technical support, including equipment set-up and operation.
  • Knowledge of preparing quotations, managing project costs and working within agreed budgets and margins.
  • Strong client-facing experience with the ability to understand requirements and offer practical solutions.
  • Used to coordinating crew, equipment, suppliers and venues across multiple projects.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within live events or technical environments.
  • Great organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once.
  • Full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling to venues across the UK as required
