Job summary

Bridges is recruiting a Project Manager to oversee projects from inception to completion from our Swansea office. The role offers hybrid working with travel to client sites and reviews.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure safety and compliance across projects in the water/MEICA sector. A valid UK driving licence and NEC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in an industrial M&E/MEICA environment.
• Experience managing engineering projects in water/wastewater sectors.
• Strong planning, monitoring, and control abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Solid knowledge of health & safety regulations and company procedures.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience working with NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Manage staff and subcontractors on assigned projects.
• Ensure health & safety and complete RAMS.
• Create and manage project documentation and monthly expenditure.
• Liaise with client and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
• Proactively manage environmental impact.

Role Purpose

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work from our Swansea office, from enquiry through to asset integration sign off. The role involves a hybrid working model with a mixture of office and travel for project reviews and client site visits.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager at Bridges, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from inception to completion. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you'll ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and on budget, coordinating resources, managing timelines and navigating challenges to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.


• Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects.


• Taking responsibility for the health & safety of self and all under your control, completing RAMS.


• Creation and management of the appropriate project documentation and control of project expenditure within a monthly project reporting structure.


• Close liaison and management of the client and other stakeholders as appropriate.


• Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment.

Requirements

Essential

• Proven project management experience in an industrial M&E / MEICA environment.


• Experience in managing engineering projects ideally within the water industry (water and/or wastewater process projects).


• Strong understanding of project planning, monitoring, and control methodologies.


• Proficiency with project planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6.


• Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation and company‑specific procedures.


• Full UK driving licence.


• Experience working with NEC suite of contracts.

Desirable

• Relevant City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in a technical/trade discipline.


• Valid SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely certification.
