Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations Berkeley, Bradwell, Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa, and research sites Harwell and Winfrith. NRS is also responsible for electricity generation at hydroelectric plant Maentwrog. As a division of NRS, NRS Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.

About The Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager to work within the Dungeness Decommissioning team responsible for demolition, dismantling and removal of plant and equipment.
This is a site-specific role at Dungeness to lead, manage and deliver decommissioning scope within the high priority boilers and ancillary plant removal workstream, working collaboratively with Senior Project Managers, and other members of the project team, site, and various other stakeholders.
The role of Project Manager requires the individual to have a sound understanding of the key drivers for project delivery including clear scope definition, effective risk management and strong communication.
We would like to welcome an individual that can bring drive and enthusiasm and can manage challenging deliverable targets. Ideally the individual will have experience of delivering in a highly regulated sector and will be able to further develop the capability of the team.
Key Deliverables:
Support the consistent application of project procedures for performance of project and design tasks in accordance with the NRS Project Management Process and Procedures.
To provide project management leadership and ensuring the safe delivery of projects to time, cost and quality with responsibility for leading projects to a successful conclusion.
Work collaboratively with site and internal functions on decommissioning projects.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders having the ability to engage and influence others to achieve positive outcomes.
Commitment to continuously improve and a pro-actively contribute to successful improvement changes.
Contribute to the creation and coordination of overall project plans, schedules, costs and risks, and monitoring activities, progress, and milestones against the plans.
Perform normal project management functions such as communication plans, monitoring progress, progress meetings and the identification, evaluation and resolution of issues/problems that may constitute an increase or
decrease in project scope, cost, or schedule.
Qualifications & Experience:
HNC/HND or equivalent technical qualification (NQF Level 5) in a scientific, environmental or engineering discipline AND demonstrable experience in a project management role (Essential).
APM Fundamentals Qualification or equivalent and willingness to obtain APM PMQ within 1 year of appointment (Essential).
Experience of performing functional tasks on projects with a basic understanding of PD25 NRS Project Management process and procedures (Desirable).
Project delivery experience (engineering, procurement, construction) of significant complexity in a highly regulated industry or industries (Essential)
Experience in managing NEC3 and / or NEC4 contracts and the use of CEMAR (Desirable)
