Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking a Senior Project/Programme Manager to join a leading organisation delivering complex UK Defence, Security and Justice programmes from London. The role is hybrid, with 2–3 days on site, and involves leading technology-enabled projects and large transformation programmes.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, govern delivery against scope and budgets, manage risks, and support business cases, bidding and stakeholder engagement across senior partners and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven project or programme management experience in technical delivery, consulting, professional services or industry environment.
• Experience delivering technology-enabled projects or major programmes.
• Experience working within Defence, Security or Justice sectors.
• Strong understanding of programme delivery across scope, budget, risk, dependencies, schedule and outcomes.
• Commercial awareness, including business case development, financial oversight, delivery risk, commercial constraints, supplier ecosystems and the bid lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology-enabled projects and major programmes.

• Support the design, mobilisation and delivery of large-scale transformation programmes.

• Manage key delivery controls including planning, change management, RAID, progress reporting and financial controls.
• Manage programme risks, dependencies, issues and outcomes.
• Support digital transformation, operating model implementation, business analysis and agile delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, partners and delivery teams.
• Support business case development, bidding, estimating and proposal activities.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Lead, motivate and develop project teams to deliver against challenging requirements.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Project / Programme Manager to join a leading organisation supporting the delivery of some of the UK’s most significant and complex programmes across the Defence, Security and Justice sectors.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a complex, technology-enabled environment, leading projects and programmes across digital transformation, operating model change, workforce transformation and large-scale technical delivery.

What we're looking for from you:

• Proven Project or Programme Management experience within a technical delivery, consulting, professional services or industry environment
