We are currently working in partnership with our client, a well-established property and construction consultancy based in Sidcup, who are recruiting for a Project Manager on a permanent basis.
Depending on experience, the salary guide is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
The role will involve working on major frameworks across London and the South East, delivering projects ranging from £1 million to £30 million across both pre- and post-contract stages.
The consultancy works across a diverse range of sectors, including education, local authority, residential, refurbishment and regeneration projects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in Project Management, Employer's Agent and Contract Administration, with previous experience delivering public sector projects.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing projects ranging from £1 million to £30 million across pre- and post-contract stages
- Providing Project Management, Employer's Agent and Contract Administration services
- Working directly with public and private sector clients
- Managing a varied portfolio of projects, including education schemes from primary schools through to universities and SEN schools
- Working on local authority residential projects, including new builds and refurbishments
- Working on a range of refurbishment projects, including recently appointed theatre refurbishment schemes
- Supporting projects involving the upgrade of playgrounds and outdoor spaces for local authority clients
- Working across emerging retrofit and cladding opportunities, where relevant experience would be advantageous
- Managing day-to-day project delivery and ensuring projects are delivered to required standards, timescales and budgets
- Preparing reports, project documentation and client communications
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying commercial opportunities and supporting future business development
- Assisting with submissions and contributing to client development and networking activities
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider consultancy
- Proactively identifying and resolving project issues
- Supporting and developing junior members of the team where required
Experience required:
- Minimum of 5 years' Project Management experience
- Previous experience in Employer's Agent and Contract Administration
- Experience delivering public sector projects valued between £1 million and £30 million
- Experience working across both pre- and post-contract stages
- Previous experience within a consultancy environment is desirable
- Experience working on education, local authority, residential, refurbishment or regeneration projects would be advantageous
- Experience of retrofit and/or cladding projects would be beneficial
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career within a growing consultancy is essential, as this is not intended to be a short-term or stop-gap opportunity
