Job description

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join us here at Octavius Infrastructure, to help us deliver highways and roads projects in Yorkshire. We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

  • Leading customer-focused project teams to exceed expectations, ensuring high-quality, timely project delivery.
  • Fostering strong engagement with stakeholders and local communities to create positive project outcomes.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, contracts, and governance processes.
  • Driving financial performance through effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and profit accountability.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, sharing best practices to enhance skills and project outcomes.

Your Experience & Qualifications
  • Commercial awareness, programming, and contract knowledge, including familiarity with NEC 4 contracts and understanding project and P&L impacts.
  • Experience working for a tier 1 contractor managing a project portfolio up to £15 million.
  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field; professional project management certification or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
  • Significant experience in highways construction, specifically road building and drainage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
  • SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
