We are currently recruiting for Project Managers to join the business and support a portfolio of projects.

Amentum provides end-to-end project services, notably the design, manufacturing, and installation of bespoke engineering solutions in Nuclear and Highly Regulated sectors.

The projects will vary in value and will require you to support bid development, work with teaming partners, build relationships with customers, and be comfortable leading and managing the design, installation, and decommissioning phases of projects.

As a Project Manager, you will report to the Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for the safe, successful delivery of the project, controlling scope, and ensuring milestones are met, completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the overall operational and commercial aspects, delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Developing project scope, execution strategies, schedules, resource requirements, estimates, costs to complete, risks, opportunities, contingency plans, and monitoring and control.
  • Supporting delivery teams to meet project goals and managing day-to-day operational duties.
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting on-site progress to the project team and the client.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring safe and effective daily operations.
  • Developing governance structures, building teams, relationships, and stakeholder confidence.
  • Managing and implementing best practices in managing complex programs in a bespoke environment.

Additionally, you will work with the business development team, coordinating technical and project input, and collaborating with partner organizations in high-energy situations.

Requirements:

  • Ideally Degree Qualified or HND in engineering discipline
  • Project Management Qualification (Prince2, APMP, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience managing Nuclear projects
  • Proven experience delivering projects over £1 million
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on cost management
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments
  • Knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management

You will be eligible for UK DV security clearance.
