Job description

Job title: Project Manager

Department: Implementation

Location: Peterborough. This role is based full-time in our Peterborough office with occasional requirements to travel (albeit infrequently) to our other main office in Halifax, other sites, or client sites.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

About the role

As part of the Implementation Team, the Project Manager will lead projects to deliver Client Implementations and Change Projects across our sopp+sopp, Motor Repair Network, Activate Parts, and Activate Accident Repair brands.

The Project Manager will successfully deliver a diverse range of Client Implementation and Change project objectives over various functions within the AGL Group. Projects may relate to Product, Regulation, Technology, Client Implementation, Process, and Automation, enabling the business to adapt and grow.

A seamless experience is paramount for our internal stakeholders and clients. The Project Manager will ensure our organisation and clients are supported, engaged, and operationally ready to go live.

The Project Manager will lead projects through our Implementation and Change Frameworks, ensuring our technology, services, and processes meet client and business needs on time, within scope, and with high quality.

Key responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage projects with clients and internally
  2. Develop and own project plans, roadmaps, RAID logs, communications, and status reports
  3. Work with clients and internal teams to understand requirements, map processes, and design solutions
  4. Partner with IT for system development and manage dependencies
  5. Oversee impact analysis of proposed changes
  6. Oversee testing to ensure high-quality configuration and data setup
  7. Manage project tasks to completion
  8. Track RAID logs, identify risks, and escalate issues
  9. Engage stakeholders and build relationships
  10. Lead Project Working Group meetings adhering to frameworks
  11. Plan and organise training and communications for operational readiness
  12. Collaborate with the Implementation Business Analyst throughout the project lifecycle
  13. Support wider organisation and Head of Implementation as needed
  14. Role is based full-time in Peterborough with occasional travel to Halifax, other sites, or client sites; remote working may be available where appropriate
Skills and experience
  • 5+ years Project Management / Implementation Management experience across operations, contact centre, technology, and clients
  • Strong project management skills and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to clients and internal teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Collaborative approach and relationship-building skills
  • Hardworking, can-do attitude, able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently following the Implementation Lifecycle and Change Framework
  • Logical, analytical, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience in Accident Management industry is a plus but not essential
  • Experience in onboarding new clients and changing services in a project environment preferred
  • Experience working with clients and prospects preferred
  • Proven ability to manage diverse client implementation and change objectives across functions
