Job Description

As a Project Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and delivering medium complexity projects within GD Missions Systems and C4I area, including leading competitive and non-competitive bids.
  • Ensuring timely provision of project deliverables, performance metrics, and progress reports while maintaining budgetary control and effective risk management.
  • Leading project and engineering teams to meet schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
  • Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, clearly communicating project status and performance.
  • Managing project subcontracts, ensuring alignment with project needs.
  • Proactively manage project risks, defining clear mitigation plans.
  • Provide leadership in resolving cost, schedule, commercial, and technical issues, applying Waterfall or SAFe Agile methodologies as appropriate.
  • Overseeing project budgets, manage cost allocation, and report financial targets accurately.
  • Achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and obtain customer approval for required evidence.
  • Seeking opportunities for project growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

To be successful in the role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of effective project management in complex teams
  • Understanding of project management methods and processes at a Prime Systems Integrator capability level for Tactical communication System design, development, deployment and operation would be desired
  • Understanding of Change Management
  • Understanding of Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and P3M
Additional Information
  • Salary for this position is £57,600 - £72,000, depending on experience plus our excellent flexible benefits package.
  • We offer hybrid working - for this role ideally we are looking for an average of 2 days per week per month on site.
