We are seeking an ambitious, motivated, and tech-savvy Project Manager. Reporting initially to the CEO, you will manage a small, skilled team of designers, programmers, and testers.

Our established business collaborates with top food and drink companies like Carlsberg, Britvic, and Mondelez. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact from the start on challenging, rewarding, and often mission-critical projects.

Our platform primarily uses AWS and Google tools, with Windows on your laptop (or Mac if preferred). We handle large datasets and require systems that deliver outputs rapidly, emphasizing optimization across databases and workflows.

Following recent expansion, we aim to scale beyond the UK. Your role as the 'conductor of the orchestra' will be crucial in this growth.

We are a distributed team that meets in person four times a year in venues like Manchester and Berlin, staying for one or two nights.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing priorities and deadlines
  2. Making informed resource allocation decisions to meet deadlines
  3. Ensuring adherence to systems and processes with the Team Leader
  4. Maintaining quality by enforcing thorough testing and design standards
  5. Keeping documentation current and organized
  6. Recommending new systems and approaches to enhance team efficiency
  7. Guiding future expansion, including product releases and partnerships

Requirements

  • Fluent in English with good writing skills for customer communication via email, video calls, and occasional face-to-face meetings
  • Experience working in at least one tech company, preferably a startup
  • People management skills and experience working directly with coders
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to explain complex concepts simply
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Reside in or near Nottingham or able to travel there easily
  • Preference for EV or bike as a next vehicle

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary starting at £45,000+ based on experience; open to negotiation
