Job summary

Aqua Consultants Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Manager to join our Customer Programmes team, reporting to the Commission Manager/Head of PMO. You will lead projects in water, energy, and infrastructure, coordinating resources and managing budgets to meet scope, time, quality, and cost.

Ideal candidates will have NEC3/NEC4 accreditation and APMP/APM PMQ or equivalent, with strong MS Office/MS Project, SAP and CRM experience.

Qualifications

• Must have strong project delivery experience in water, energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Experience administering or delivering projects under NEC contracts is highly desirable; NEC3/NEC4 accreditation preferred.
• APMP/APM PMQ or equivalent qualification beneficial; proficient with SAP and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of assigned projects within scope, time, quality and cost constraints.
• Coordinate and manage technical resources to achieve project objectives and deliver quality results.
• Actively manage risks and issues with mitigation strategies and escalation as needed.
• Oversee contract management from signature to final invoicing with finance collaboration.
• Develop and manage budgets, monitor variances and stay within financial parameters.
• Ensure adherence to IMS standards, governance, audits, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate clear communication with clients, internal teams and external partners.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and document requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Enhance visibility with key clients and generate development opportunities with service leads.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and junior staff to foster a collaborative PM community.

We are currently seeking to recruit for Project Managers to join us here at Aqua Consultants. This role will be within our Customer Programmes team reporting all day to day duties to the Commission Manager/Head of PMO.

The ideal candidate will have project delivery experience within the water, energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors, supported by strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience administering or delivering projects under NEC contracts is highly desirable, with NEC3/NEC4 accreditation strongly preferred. An APMP, APM PMQ, or equivalent qualification is beneficial, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and systems such as SAP and CRM.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the successful delivery of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to scope, time, quality, and cost parameters.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring requirements are accurately documented and managed throughout the project lifecycle.


• Enhance the organisation's visibility with key clients, generating business development opportunities in collaboration with service leads.


• Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers and junior staff, supporting their development and contributing to a collaborative project management community within the organisation.

What you'll bring:

• Strong project management capabilities with organisational and meticulous attention to detail.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write detailed reports and presentations.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project management software (e.g., SAP, CRM systems).


• Experience in the Water Industry or wider utilities sector.


• NEC3/4 accreditation or similar project management certification.


• Proficiency with Gantt charts, digital project dashboards, and reporting tools.
