Project Manager | Newport / Hybrid | Inside IR35

We’re working with a leading provider of technology-enabled services and operational transformation within the financial services sector. With decades of industry expertise, the business supports large-scale change programmes across lending, savings, and investments helping clients modernise operations, streamline processes, and drive digital innovation.

Now part of a global technology group, the organisation combines deep domain knowledge with cutting-edge delivery capability, enabling agile, compliant, and customer-focused solutions at scale.

The Role

  • Lead the successful delivery of internal and external projects through the full lifecycle
  • Manage planning, budgeting, governance, and stakeholder engagement across multiple departments
  • Coordinate virtual and co-located teams, third parties, and offshore teams
  • Own project reporting, steering meetings, RAID logs, and post-project reviews
  • Ensure compliance with QMF and PMO standards while adapting delivery to best-fit methodology

What You'll Need

  • Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery in financial services or regulated environments
  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or PMI certification (Scrum/Agile/Change Management qualifications a plus)
  • Strong understanding of project governance, planning, cost control, and risk management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including with external clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Kanban boards

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of the lending, mortgage, or investment sectors
  • Experience working in BPO or shared services environments
  • Familiarity with portfolio/programme-level dependencies and resource management
