Role Overview

In a Nutshell…

We have a new opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team within North East, at our site in Stockton-on-Tees. As our Project Manager, you will oversee and support the control and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they meet client specifications (safety, quality, cost, time, etc.) and that all budget, risk, specification, project timescales, customer, and business objectives are fully met. The role involves multiple client meetings on site, requiring excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to motivate site teams to deliver high-quality homes.

  • Construction-related academic qualification (BSc, HNC, or proven site management experience)
  • Experience with new build residential multi-story projects
  • Health and Safety management experience
  • Ability to analyze technical and commercial aspects and apply solutions
  • Proven leadership and team management skills in challenging environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster a positive team environment
  • Influence and inspire others through effective communication
  • Reputation for integrity, sound judgment, and team leadership
  • Qualified to the CIOB Grade applicable at the time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Asta Power Project
  • Knowledge of the build process, JCT D&B contract, health and safety regulations, and building legislation
  • Understanding of the considerate contractor’s requirements for high scores

  • Drive safety improvements
  • Oversee the successful, safe project completion: quality, time, procurement, client interface
  • Manage design teams and procurement processes
  • Develop and motivate team members
  • Maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships
  • Manage project documentation and reporting
  • Develop detailed project plans for materials, resources, and scheduling
  • Lead site meetings and reviews
  • Identify and cost additional work, ensuring client approval
  • Incorporate commercial considerations into decision-making
  • Regularly review and produce project programs to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure adherence to Vistry processes and sustainability practices
