A leading company in the electrical infrastructure industry is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee T&D projects across the UK. The role involves managing project teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining communication with stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage T&D projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and oversee the execution of electrical infrastructure works from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end delivery of T&D projects (132kV – 400kV) including substations, overhead lines, and underground cables.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Lead project teams, including engineers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies (e.g., Ofgem, Grid), DNOs, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, environmental, and quality standards (CDM Regulations, ISO standards, etc.).
Provide regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage project documentation, change control, and financial tracking.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Proven experience delivering T&D projects in the UK (5+ years ).
Strong understanding of the UK electricity network and regulatory environment.
Familiarity with Grid and DNO standards and processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Desirable Qualifications:
APM, PRINCE2, or PMP Certification.
NEBOSH or IOSH Safety Certification.
Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contract management.
Working knowledge of GIS, SCADA, or protection systems.
