Overview

MCS Group is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager for a temporary contract in Ballymena. This IT Project Manager will help to deliver some critical projects, joining at a crucial stage in the projects' delivery life-cycles. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of system implementation projects, API integrations, and IT transformation projects, while working closely with stakeholders across the business and external vendors.

As IT Project Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all IT initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

The Role

You will lead and manage multiple key IT project work-streams, ensuring they are delivered on time.

You will work with key stakeholders to define processes, scope, and manage timescales and project budget.

This IT Project Manager will allocate and manage resources to achieve milestones efficiently.

You will proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks.

This position requires excellent communication skills as you will be required to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels through clear reports and updates.

You will work with 3rd party vendors to deliver seamless integrations and implementations.

The Person

You will have a degree/third level qualification in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Substantial, demonstrable experience of successfully managing IT projects is required.

You will bring strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools such as JIRA or MS Project.

Given the nature of the projects, solid technical understanding of software development life-cycles, system implementations, API integrations, ERP/MRP, cloud, and infrastructure is essential.

Additionally, you will have a proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Salary and Details

Salary: Competitive (paid as a rate per hour for the duration of the temporary contract)

Location: Client is located in Ballymena, and on-site working is required (some flexibility available regarding working from home)

Duration: 3 - 4 months initially.
