Job summary

Canopius is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Change Team in the Centre of Operational Excellence in Manchester. You will work across business strategic projects, collaborating with Data, Architecture and Technology teams and business stakeholders to drive effective delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include day-to-day management, designing project scope, managing budgets and KPIs, and ensuring governance and communication across the Change portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience leading projects with clear scope, KPIs and budgets.
• Proven track record delivering complex change programmes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills tailored for senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage dependencies across multiple teams including Data, Architecture and Technology.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of project activities within defined scope, budget and KPIs.
• Capture and agreement of clear project scope at start.
• Design, plan and implement standalone or programme-level projects.
• Lead risk, actions and issues with proactive stakeholder collaboration.
• Champion delivery standards, governance and reporting across Change portfolio.
• Stakeholder management across the business, including C-suite.
• Create and run steering groups and governance bodies.
• Develop communication plans ensuring clear, timely updates.
• Drive adoption and benefits realisation post-delivery.

Job description

Canopius require an experienced Project Manager to jointhe Change Teamin the Centre of Operational Excellence office in Manchester towork across businessstrategic projects.

Working alongside the Data, Architecture andTechnology teams and business stakeholders, the Project Manager will be workingon key projects to drive effective delivery, share best practices and continuously improve delivery outcomes that support Canopius’ continuing growth ambitions.

Responsibilities will include:

Day-to-day management of all project activities, and delivery with defined scope, success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) within budget, on time in line with Change Delivery standards.

The capture and agreement of clear and measurable scope at the start of the project

Todesign, plan and implement projects,either standalone or as part of a larger programme, or programmes according to scope, targets andobjectivesset for time of delivery,budgetand quality.

Successful project/programme delivery in line with the defined success criteria and set goals.

Lead identification of risks, actions, and issues through proactive communication and collaboration with stakeholders and various teams

Champion consistent project delivery standards, reporting and governance, supporting maturity and quality across the Change portfolio

Stakeholder managementacross the business, includingC-suite.

Creation, preparation and running ofsteering groupsand other governancegroups

Creation of a communication plantoensure comms are clear,transparentandtimely

Identification and management of dependenciesacross a diverse portfolio of Change

Drive successful adoption of the delivered solution working with stakeholders to ensureappropriate roll-outstrategy, operational readiness and measurable benefits realisation and engagement.

Share lessons learned, best practices and delivery insights to support continuous improvement across projects and programmes
