Opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Life Science team in Macclesfield.

The Project Manager will report to the Framework Portfolio Manager and oversee a portfolio of projects ranging from £100k to £4.5m, with a total estimated value of £25m per annum. The role involves managing projects through various stages: design, approval, and construction, with teams reporting to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with the preparation of schedules, costs, and scope of works.
• Support scheduling, resource allocation, and project planning.
• Ensure construction phase plans comply with CDM 2015 and reflect project scope and schedule.
• Coordinate with quantity surveyors and commercial managers on contracts and procurement.
• Lead project kick-off meetings and manage project teams across all functions.
• Liaise with project controls, information management, BIM, and design teams.
• Support client presentations and reporting.
• Track project costs, schedules, and performance, reporting to the Portfolio Manager.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained.

Experience required:

• At least 5 years in construction or project management within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of ECC NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• Understanding of full project lifecycle and client-facing communication skills.
• Commercial awareness regarding budgets, procurement, and change management.
• Leadership and team-building skills.

Qualifications:

• Construction-related academic or professional qualifications (e.g., SKE).
• Chartered status or trade experience.
• CSCS management card, SMSTS, and CDM 2015 knowledge.
• Understanding of project controls and NEC4 adherence.
