Job summary

Impact Energy Partners is seeking a Project Manager to deliver commercial renewable energy projects across the UK. The role covers Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV charging from surveys through to commissioning and handover.

You will coordinate multiple projects, manage stakeholders, ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery, and mentor junior staff within a growing renewables business in Kent.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience delivering commercial renewable energy projects.
• Strong Solar PV project delivery background required.
• Electrical installation qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are essential.
• Experience with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.
• Solid understanding of health & safety requirements in construction environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Be the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Coordinate activities from pre-construction through completion.
• Oversee site surveys, installation programmes and resource allocation.
• Schedule direct labour and subcontractors across several live projects.
• Manage material procurement and deliveries to site.
• Prepare RAMS and HSE documentation; monitor project costs and revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate with design, engineering and commissioning teams.
• Ensure project quality and resolve installation defects as needed.
• Assist with commissioning and handover activities.
• Mentor junior team members, apprentices and trainees.

Solar Project Manager

Location: Kent

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging or wider renewable energy infrastructure?

We're working with a rapidly growing renewable energy contractor delivering commercial and industrial decarbonisation projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multiple renewable energy installation projects from initial survey through to commissioning and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business at the forefront of the UK's energy transition, delivering Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging solutions for commercial, industrial and public sector clients.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple renewable energy projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the delivery of Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging projects.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Coordinating project activities from pre-construction through to completion.
• Managing site surveys, installation programmes and resource allocation.
• Scheduling direct labour and subcontractors across multiple live projects.
• Coordinating material procurement and deliveries to site.
• Producing and reviewing RAMS and associated HSE documentation.
• Monitoring project performance, costs, variations and revenue forecasts.
• Liaising closely with design, engineering and commissioning teams.
• Managing project quality and resolving installation defects where required.
• Supporting commissioning and project handover activities.
• Mentoring junior team members, apprentices and trainees.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience delivering commercial renewable energy projects.
• Strong Solar PV project delivery background.
• Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements within construction environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• EV Charging project experience.
• SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• Renewable energy EPC contractor experience.
• Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical installations.
