Job description

Fixed term contract to end of 2025

Hybrid working with occasional travel into London site and Bracknell Head Office

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing onsite and remote rollout support during all key delivery phases, collaborating with stakeholders and vendor teams (Construction, ISP, & IT Managed Service). This role involves working across multiple retail sites for a leading sports clothing and footwear company.

The project phases include:

  1. Phase 1: Design discussions & review (Floorplans & CCTV/AP designs with stakeholders before construction begins)
  2. Phase 2: Construction (office & retail space) - planning & coordination of teams
  3. Phase 3: Internet - Fibre Circuit Line installation - planning & coordination of teams
  4. Phase 4: IT Network Infrastructure Installation - planning & coordination of assets & resources
  5. Phase 5: IT Asset Installation - CCTV Equipment & Wireless AP - planning & coordination of assets & resources

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of projects
  • Develop project planning, scope, and sign-off documentation following ISO standards
  • Establish and manage internal and external project resources
  • Manage budgets to ensure timely and quality delivery of all project milestones
  • Chair project review meetings with clients
  • Handle changes to project plans, documentation, and escalate issues as needed
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue from out-of-scope activities
  • Control staged payments and invoicing throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide project status updates and business reports
  • Issue regular project highlight reports and detailed financial analysis reports
  • Maintain comprehensive project files
  • Support pre-sales and project initiation activities
  • Contribute to bid and sales proposal processes
  • Define project scope and deliverables clearly
  • Provide project pricing estimates
  • Attend customer meetings and presentations as part of the sales team
  • Conduct risk assessments for senior management review

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate calibre or equivalent
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Experience in influencing, negotiations, and delivering projects within a matrix-managed team
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques for effective technical project setup and delivery
  • Effective delegation skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, adaptable to different audiences

  • Global audits
  • Technical project implementations

Additional requirements:

  • Hands-on management of multiple simultaneous projects (4+)
  • International experience delivering projects across multiple countries and partners
  • Prince2 or similar qualification
